A & B Creating

Hurray, we can open again. After being closed for 3 months, we have the ok! Of course we have to reorganize our tables a bit to keep the right distance, but that is no problem. We have enough space.
Our cleaning will be of a complete different level. Everything has to be disinfected after every meeting. So be it!

Getting ready! Our avocado tree gives lovely fruit, is beautiful, but is also a pain in the ..... You wouldn't believe how many leaves drop down every day, in the front yard, on the street, on the balcony!!!!
We also have a nest with swallows. They come every year and we love that. So cute. The company cats, Snorrie en Borrie (real Dutch names) like to watch them too. Luckily the nest is very high situated, so the cats can't reach them. The tree drops leaves, but the droppings of these little birds are something else!!
As you realize, a lot of  cleaning to do!

Our company cats! When we are there they love to be inside, but they are outdoor cats. They are both neutered males and not even a year old. Someone left them in a box at our front door when they were a few days old. Barbara took them home and fed them with a bottle. I was in Belgium at that moment, helping Alexandra, my eldest daughter, moving from Athens to Gent with her family. This is Snorrie, not wanting to understand why he can't be in there!!

Tomorrow I will start moving the tables and make a different layout. Do you see how big the avocado tree is? We are on the first floor here!! The tree is taller than the house!

On the table a scrap quilt made by the Quilting Bee Sparta. Maria, one of the members quilted it at home during the lockdown. It has to be washed now and then  it can be displayed. We have two other quilts ready for sandwiching and quilting. Tomorrow I am going to buy the batting.

We are also working on a lockdown quilt!! It's going to be special. In another post I will talk about that and show you some pictures.
And as we are all talking about cats, I made a new wall hanging with these cuties.

See you next time! Be good and stay safe!!

  1. Dearest Ada,
Lovely photos and you're so lucky for growing your own avocado, even though you might be overwhelmed with a sudden yield that you cannot consume at once.
What cute kitties and how caring of Barbara to nourish them!
Love the quilt with the kitties too.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  3. I could not imagine how tall an avocado tree can grow!!!
I have some little ones in pots, which grew out of pits I had put in water to root.
So many lovely quilts you have waiting to be finished!
    And your cats are gorgeous!
I wish you a good start with your team!
