Easter, spring vintage table runner

You can still find old stock vintage fabrics in Greece. Old-fashioned shops like this one in Areopolis.

Or this one I use to go to in Kalamata. 

And of course in Athens there are shops who sell old stock in the Monasteraki/Ermou area. I have gathered quite some vintage fabric over the past few years. Not all of the patterns are easy to combine, though. The other problem with different quality cotton is that the sewing is a bit tricky; some materials stretch more than the other !! 

But I love the patterns and had a go at it again! I made this table runner, which looks lovely on my table in spring and summer. And now during the Easter time it goes very well with the traditional  red Greek Easter eggs.

It is a long runner and hangs down from the table on both sides, as you can see in these pictures of my living room.
